Wagon Walk

Today was pretty uneventful, we hung around the house mostly. The dogs were being rowdy this morning and it wasn't raining, so we decided it was a good time to take everybody on a walk (and use Taylor's wagon!) It was a bit chilly so we bundled her up in her new coat and out we went!! I remembered to take the camera with me this time.

I'm also practicing some photoshop techniques, so if the color looks a little funny, don't mind me!

Drew was walking dogs and I was pulling Taylor, but we swapped so I could snag a pic of the proud Daddy.

Merry Christmas!!

Well, Taylor's first Christmas was so much fun! Everything was a hit, and it was perfect! She didn't get too many toys, and not too many clothes, a perfect amount of everything so she has new things to play with that will last her a while! I took a lot of pics, so here they are so you can see how her first Christmas went!

Twas the night before Christmas, and ready for bed!

Milk and cookies for "Santa". They were GOOD... so we hear.

Stockings all stuffed!

Everything ready for morning (wow, our angel is really falling over!)
Our Christmas lights that Drew worked so hard to put up. We never could figure out what was wrong with the middle section above the snowman. It worked at first and then went out after a couple of days. We'll have to see if we can figure it out when we take them down.

Christmas morning and Taylor's first look at the goods

Is this for ME?
Hmm, I like this

YEEHAW!!Looks like this book wouldn't fit in my stocking.

I like books!

Wow, look at all this good stuff!

Taste test

Mommy likes Hugs for Christmas!

Dada opens his stocking too!

Oh, an activity walker from Grams, cool!

What is it?

Taylor will blow kisses to the camera, while Mama looks her best...
cool!

Look, it's a Taylor in a box, complete with gift card!

Dada opening presents!

Taylor trying out her walker

and her Wagon!

Really excited! She's getting brave and starting to try and take lots of steps on her own now, usually she'll make it one or two.. sometimes three real slow!

Also we had a big Christmas surprise, for those of you we didn't speak to today. Taylor is going to be a big sister! We found out on Tuesday that we are expecting another bundle of joy, probably sometime in August! We're very excited.. so the baby blog continues! I've been feeling great, a little more tired than usual, the same crampiness I had with Taylor, but otherwise wonderful. No morning sickness yet, and fingers crossed that it stays away! I already went to the doctor on base for a confirmation, picked up prenatals, got my referral to an OB. Unfortunately my OB that I saw befoer isn't part of that group anymore, I did a search and found that he moved down to the Baton Rouge area , so I'll be going to another doctor in the group that I had heard wonderful things about. At least I'll get to stay at the same hospital!

We want to Thank everyone for our wonderful gifts, cards, phone calls, and text messages. It really was a fabulous Christmas and while we are still far from family, we're glad to be sharing this year back in the US!

Love to you all!

She walked!!!!

Yesterday Taylor took a couple of steps from Drew to myself, and today she repeated it over and over! She's still not very steady and it's kind of a leaning walk, but she's taking 2-4 steps at a time here and there! She's very proud of herself and she gets a bit ahead of herself and loses her balance easy, but it's awesome!

We are all looking forward to Christmas and watching Taylor open her gifts, and her stocking. One of Drew's friends from work (California is also home for him) is going to be coming for Christmas so it will be nice having company! I've got a big ham to cook and the usual sides.. I'm making Drew a Pecan Pie because he really wanted a piece at the Christmas party but I got there one person too late and it was gone. So I'll make him his own!

Also, I don't know if I mentioned this previously, but also at the Christmas party there was a photographer there who was taking pictures, he also does weddings and aviation photography. I was chatting with him and at the end of the evening, gave him my contact info to see if he would be willing to let me shadow him sometime to learn a thing or two. He already e-mailed me and he is very impressed with my work so far and would love to have me come get some practice at weddings, so that's awesome!! I'm pretty excited about that, I think it's a great opportunity!

That's really about all that's been going on, we were so busy getting things out for Christmas, and our own work Christmas party, babysitting for the neighbors Christmas party.. all of a sudden there is time to relax!! Drew is over being sick now, but of course Taylor and I caught whatever it is he had so we're both sick again. We haven't been well enough to get our flu shots yet, although I doubt it would have helped because Drew had his, and he still got sick! Well, maybe after Christmas!

I'm going to go tomorrow and pick up a special cake pan for Taylor's Birthday! I'm hoping I can find a ladybug, but if not we'll see what they have! I'm also planning on a special little 1 yr. photo shoot for her. She's getting quite the personality, and talkative! We sure love her to death, and she's become a huge Dada's girl. Drew is such a sucker for her smiles and "meow meows". Of course I melt listening to him tickle her and her giggles echoing through the house... ahhhhh...

Here's a couple of pictures for you. One is a 3 picture compilation of Taylor cruising with her little car that Betty gave us. She likes to sit on it, but her legs are a bit short to really push it sitting down, so we set her up behind her and she walks up and down the hallway with it.

And a little one of her in the window light

Hope we get to talk to everybody on Christmas, but if not ,we wish you a Merry one!!

Love,
US!

Endeavour Space Shuttle

Alright, I've started this post 3 times and haven't gotten to finish, so I'm just going to publish it, and finish later... at least that way you get SOMETHING!

Last week the Endeavor Space Shuttle was on it's way back to Kennedy, piggy back on a 747 I believe, and made a stop here at Barksdale. I happened to be on base when it was getting ready to take off so I took a few pictures.

Otherwise, we've been pretty busy preparing for Christmas. Taylor has been pretty cranky as she's working on cutting her 4TH tooth in two weeks! She has a mouthful now!

TO BE CONTINUED.....

LOTS of pics!

Well, Taylor and I did a winter photo shoot yesterday. We're going to try and get Drew in today while I have everything out. I took a LOT of pics (about 500) and while she was a bit cranky for the first part.. she got a bit happier the second time around so a few of them turned out pretty cute. Anyway, I'll just post, post away!!!

Woah, it's CHRISTMAS???

It's snowing in the living room!

Cheeeeeeeese!

Mommy and Me

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!
