Yesterday Taylor took a couple of steps from Drew to myself, and today she repeated it over and over! She's still not very steady and it's kind of a leaning walk, but she's taking 2-4 steps at a time here and there! She's very proud of herself and she gets a bit ahead of herself and loses her balance easy, but it's awesome!
We are all looking forward to Christmas and watching Taylor open her gifts, and her stocking. One of Drew's friends from work (California is also home for him) is going to be coming for Christmas so it will be nice having company! I've got a big ham to cook and the usual sides.. I'm making Drew a Pecan Pie because he really wanted a piece at the Christmas party but I got there one person too late and it was gone. So I'll make him his own!
Also, I don't know if I mentioned this previously, but also at the Christmas party there was a photographer there who was taking pictures, he also does weddings and aviation photography. I was chatting with him and at the end of the evening, gave him my contact info to see if he would be willing to let me shadow him sometime to learn a thing or two. He already e-mailed me and he is very impressed with my work so far and would love to have me come get some practice at weddings, so that's awesome!! I'm pretty excited about that, I think it's a great opportunity!
That's really about all that's been going on, we were so busy getting things out for Christmas, and our own work Christmas party, babysitting for the neighbors Christmas party.. all of a sudden there is time to relax!! Drew is over being sick now, but of course Taylor and I caught whatever it is he had so we're both sick again. We haven't been well enough to get our flu shots yet, although I doubt it would have helped because Drew had his, and he still got sick! Well, maybe after Christmas!
I'm going to go tomorrow and pick up a special cake pan for Taylor's Birthday! I'm hoping I can find a ladybug, but if not we'll see what they have! I'm also planning on a special little 1 yr. photo shoot for her. She's getting quite the personality, and talkative! We sure love her to death, and she's become a huge Dada's girl. Drew is such a sucker for her smiles and "meow meows". Of course I melt listening to him tickle her and her giggles echoing through the house... ahhhhh...
Here's a couple of pictures for you. One is a 3 picture compilation of Taylor cruising with her little car that Betty gave us. She likes to sit on it, but her legs are a bit short to really push it sitting down, so we set her up behind her and she walks up and down the hallway with it.
And a little one of her in the window light
Hope we get to talk to everybody on Christmas, but if not ,we wish you a Merry one!!
Love,
US!
